Tethering a Hot Air Balloon is when we tie the balloon down with several long ropes. Then we give many short “intro to balloons” rides. We can carry up to six passengers per lift. Over the span of two to three hours we can give 100 to 150 passengers the quick thrill of a balloon ride.

Tethering a balloon is great for Company Picnics, Corporate Advertising, School Events, Graduation Parties, Wedding Receptions, Fundraiser's and more!

We will need an open space free of ground and overhead obstructions of at least 200’ by 200”. We will need to bring vehicles to the edges of the space to use as tie off points for the balloon. Upon booking a date we will need to schedule a site inspection to determine the locations suitability for tethering as well as to ensure we know how to get there on your date.

Balloon Tethers cost $1850.00 for a 1 ¾ to 2 ¼ hour event. This requires a $300 deposit to book your date. If the weather is good for ballooning on your date, the balance is due and we tether the balloon. If the weather is so bad that there is no way we could set up we will return $200 of the deposit and retain $100 to cover site inspection costs. If the weather in marginal and you want us to bring the equipment and crew to your location, we will retain the full deposit as a show up fee whether we set up or not. The balance is only due if we are able to tether the balloon.

Balloon tethers are very weather dependent. We need calm winds and no chance of precipitation to be able to tether a balloon.

We also tether the balloon for picnics and fundraisers.

As is with all balloon operations, we only operate for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours after sunrise and again 2 1/2 to 3 hours before sunset. We are often able to extend into after dark in the evening if conditions are favorable. This allows the balloon to light up or “GLOW”. The glowing of balloons is often a great draw at balloon rallies and allows any event to really draw attention to itself.
